Short Version

As a connoisseur of the standing desk I can honestly say that the UpDesk is one of the best I've tried. Sure you can get them more cheaply but this desk uses a built-in electronic lifting system to allow you to set the perfect height and it can lift 300 pounds with nary a whimper.

Long Version Features:

  • Electronic lifting system
  • Three height presets
  • Easy construction
  • Comes in three sizes: 48-inch 60-inch and 72-inch

Info:

The UpDesk is...

... a standing desk with a twist. When you get tired (as you inevitably will) you can press a button to raise or lower the desk to your desired height. Shorter folks can set things up just as they like them and taller folks can hit a maximum of 40 inches. As a 6-foot tall standee the maximum height works perfectly and then I set it to about 29 inches when sitting.

It takes about 20 minutes to build the UpDesk out of the box and anyone with a good power drill and some smarts can set it up in even a confined space. It's nearly silent and offers a clean no-nonsense design.

I've been using it for about two weeks and I've really enjoyed it. Going from sitting to standing takes about a minute and I don't have to move my computer around or stand at on odd angle on my original standing desk solution. In short it adds a bit of comfort to my workday and looks just fine amid the wrack and ruin of my home office.

Buy the UpDesk for...

... the weirdo who wants to both sit and stand at his or her computer.

Because...

... it takes a certain kind of person to love a standing desk and that kind of person will love this one.
